True Blue (1996)[1 video] Josh Lucas The real problem with this is that the full story–or whatever the book of “True Blue” purports to be–is already mind-bendingly complicated. There’s no way this story was ever going to make it to film without being seriously mangled, and sadly, that’s what happened. The script is plain awful, and the editing doesn’t help.

Midnight Witness

to me this movie was watchable,but not great.there was some excitement and suspense,but not as much as i had hoped for.the acting is pretty good.the characters were okay,although i thought Jan Michael Vincent’s character was very strange and out of place in this movie.the movie didn’t always hold my interest and my mind sometimes wandered.the basic plot of the movie is that a man videotapes some crooked police beating another man.the police notice they are being taped.from there,the man and his wife go on the run to escape the crooked cops who want the videotape.as far as this genre of movies goes,this movie is average.if you have nothing better to do,you could do worse.but,like i said there were times when my mind wandered,due to some slow spots.this is certainly not the worst movie of the genre i have ever seen,but not the best either.many people may really enjoy this movie.it just depends on your taste.for me,i give “Midnight Witness” 5/10.

Michael Phelps gets Smoked in the Pool

Swimming superstar Michael Phelps comes up short after losing to Paul Biedermann (Germany) in the men’s 200m freestyle final at the 2009 FINA World Championships, held at the Foro Italico in Rome on Tuesday (July 28).The 24-year-old Olympic gold medalist suffered his first individual defeat in a world competition since 2005. Biedermann won in world record time of 1:42.00 while Phelps took the silver with a time of 1:43:22. The time was slightly slower than his gold medal win (1:42:96) in Beijing.

I’ve seen worse, and I say that because others didn’t keep me in my chair to see how much ridiculous will turn yet towards the end…The beginning is missing loads of things, like, to let us know the characters, nevertheless, that would be a detail, as they don’t grow, or we don’t get to know them even when the movie comes to an end.This seems to be a mixture between ‘Ghost Ship’ and any title at random of the very bad films based in Stephen King novels. Most of the character don’t hold it, because when you start to like them or dislike them, they change and that’s what happens with Ivan and Edgar’s characters, they seem to be selfish and isolated, but them they turn into the superheroes of the moment… incredible!!!! Silke, is an actress that was a revelation years ago, fresh, different, interesting even without the pretty face, but after years of no productivity, one would think that she was taken lessons of vocalisation… wrong!!! it’s very difficult , even for a Spaniard to understand what she is saying.Plot is silly, dialogues come like salty water in a river… and question: what’s a pregnant woman and a teenager(the one who drives the boat, that doesn’t say a word in the whole clip), are doing in there?And trivia: the story happens during the night, but then, out of the blue, is midday!!!! Not at all recommendable, if you estimate your spare time, you better watch that favourite of yours all over again.
